  Position: School Psychologist

Location: Supai Arizona

    School Site & Remote, Travel required to school site

A-sa-ma-di (Smart) Business Solutions, LLC is looking for a School Psychologist to provide quality, School Psychologist services in the academic setting.  School Psychologist services are to be provided to students on an as needed basis in conjunction with the IDEA requirements for testing (60 days from the date of parent consent). In addition, provide psychological services grades K through 8.  It is estimated that the school will need (10) psycho-educational (Initial/Re-evaluations/Psych testing for ED, ADHD, and MR).  Psycho-educational evaluation reports for school/parent, MET/meetings, and interpretation of evaluation results.

Technical Requirements/Tasks:  provide accurate case notes, assist with program planning, network with internal and external resources, and provide documentation and record keeping tasks necessary to compile reports for funding agencies. The contractor will attend internal and external meetings with School staff and/or off campus agencies when necessary for service provision.

Specific Tasks to be performed:

1)  Provide professional evaluations that are prepared according to the legal definition of IDEA (Individual with Disabilities Education Act).

2)  Evaluate and screen students to determine eligibility for Special Education services or students due to have reevaluation.

3)  Prepare and provide a comprehensive evaluation report

4)  Use the standardized testing instruments supplied by the contractor

5)  Generate a schedule by conferencing with the School’s Special Education Coordinator

6)  Provide School Psychologist in-service to the Special Education staff to explain diagnostic summary when necessary or requested by staff

7)  Coordinate and maintain record keeping as necessary

8)  Comply with all federal mandates, State Board of Education regulations, and BIE policies for service to students with disabilities

9)  Services will be provided during school hours

10)  Must be available for telephone consultation and willing to adjust professional schedule to meet the students’ schedules and Special Education deadlines.

11)  Participation in regular case consultation

12)  Electronic documentation required on date of service

13)  Mileage and lodging will be provided

14)  Provide a monthly report to the COR detailing services provided including: number of students served in individual sessions, number of referrals of off campus services, and number of referrals to inpatient services.

State Compliant Investigators

A-sa-ma-di (Smart) Business Solutions is looking for five qualified state complaint investigators who are knowledgeable of the laws and regulations relating to special education and related services for a federal contract. Mediation will be conducted as individual task orders. Task orders will be assigned as the need for mediation is determined.

The contract performance may occur at any of the 174 schools located in 23 states, on or near (66) Native American reservations. Services are to be provided during typical business hours. Services will not be required on Federal holidays or when the Government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, weather-related closings, administrative closings, or similar Government direct facility closings. The address will be specified in each task order.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in special education or related field

  • 10 years of experience providing State Investigator services for Special Education programs

  • Demonstrated knowledge in laws and regulations related to the provisions of special education and related services in accordance with the IDEA

  • Demonstrated understanding of the investigation procedures outlined in the IDEA

  • Individual must avoid personal or professional interest that will conflict with the objectivity of the assignment

  • Demonstrated ability to remain impartial when performing investigative duties

  • Demonstrated education, training, or certification in investigation strategies, specifically those related to cases dealing with special education

Deliverables

  1. Conducting the Investigation Draft Report,Submit draft report after completion of investigation. No later than (7) days after completion of investigation

  2. Conducting the Investigation Completion Report,Submit report of investigation results to include outcome (within (45) days of task order award)

  3. Conducting the Mediation Schedule Report, submit report of scheduled mediation with student and date and time (within (2) days of task order award)

  4. Conducting the Mediation Completion Report, submit report of agreements between parties (within (7) days after the mediation is complete)
